Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took her skills, she placed second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to win the 200 meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third in each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
