Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition, she placed within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003 and was signed by Adidas to become a professional athlete. Following that, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics held which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for the distance of 200 meters. In 2007, she defended the title against her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
